FAQs
What does your Bartending service include?
The Bartender(s), bar setup, cock tailing of drinks when the bar is not busy, busing in downtime, station cleanup and breakdown. I can provide the ice, stirrers, napkins, mixers and garnishes for a fee. I can also supply a table that will serve as a bartender serving station.
Can I buy my own alcoholic beverages?
Yes, I require that you do. However, I will be happy to help you buy the correct quantities and selections for your event. I can provide the ice, stirrers, napkins, mixers and garnishes for a fee.
If I have more than 50 people, should I hire more than one bartender?
I strongly recommend hiring one bartender for every 50-60 guests at your event, especially if the bartenders will be serving non-alcoholic beverages as well. I can arrange as many equally as qualified bartenders as you will need!
Will you have a tip jar?
A professional looking tip jar will be present in the bartending station. I will not ask for tips directly. If you would rather not have a tip jar at your event, a twenty-percent gratuity will be added to the bill.
Do I need a permit to serve alcohol?
If you're at home or comparable, you do not need a permit in most situations. If you're just serving beer and wine, you do not need a permit in most situations. When you are hosting an event at a private/public venue, and you're serving liquor, this is when you need to apply for a permit through ABC. Please refer to the following:
Limited Special Occasion Permit
Can you customize a set drink list for my event?
Of course! I would be happy to make a fun, flirty, themed, festive or any other sort of list for your event!
How much time do you require for setup and breakdown?
45 minutes is required for setup and 15 minutes is required for breakdown. If the requested time frame is 7 p.m.- 11 p.m., the bartenders will be there from 6:15 p.m. until 11:15 p.m. for a total of 5 hours. Trash and recycling will be put in the appropriate bins on the premises at the end of the event.
How far will you travel?
I will drive anywhere in a thirty-minute driving radius from Southwest Durham. I will go further for $.50 per mile RT over that 30 minutes/miles plus a $25 flat fee.
How do I pay?
I accept cash and check. I also accept Paypal and CC with a 3 percent service fee.
When is payment due?
Payment is due promptly upon arrival at the event and is based on a previously agreed time frame. If the event happens to run over and bartending services are continued, the fee will be prorated per hour past the original time plus $10 per hour.
